Dance Schedule

January 6, 2025 - August 1, 2025

  • 11:15 am - 12:00 pm | Pilates

    6:15 pm - 7:15 pm | Pilates

    7:00 pm - 8:00 pm | Intermediate Ballet

  • 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm (Zoom) | Chair Exercise

    6:30 pm - 7:30 pm | Beginner Adult Ballet

  • 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm | Intermediate Adult Ballet

  • 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm | Advanced Beginner Adult Ballet

    • Adults: Dance Card (10) lessons - $175.

    • Exercise/Pilates (10) lessons - $100.

    • A one-time registration fee for each (new) Dancer is $25

    • Drop in class - $20

    • If you have any difficulty registering, please send an email directly to the instructor or info@stmarksdance.org. A separate registration form will be provided. Checks and Money Orders are payable to: St. Mark’s Church

    • Monday, January 6th- Classes begin

    • Monday, January 20th- No class (MLK/Inauguration)

    • Monday, February 17th- No Class (Presidents’ Day)

    • Monday, April 14th- Saturday, April 19th: No Class (Spring Break)

    • Monday, May 26th- No Class (Memorial Day)

    • August 1st- Last day of classes

    Please note the studio will follow DCPS during inclement weather.

  • When do I need to register by?

    Registration is on going! Feel free to register at any time.

    Do I need to be a member of the church to take classes?

    No, classes are welcome to everybody!

  • Clothing - Adults may wear comfortable T-shirts or leggings for taking Pilates, ballet or jazz class.

    • Leotard - A fitted leotard in any solid color is typically preferred.

    • Tights – Pink, black, or flesh-toned ballet tights. Some adult dancers opt for leggings instead.

    • Skirt (Optional) – A short ballet wrap skirt or dance shorts can be worn over the leotard.

    • Ballet Slippers – Pink or flesh-tone canvas or leather ballet slippers with properly fitted elastic.

    • Warm-Ups (Optional) – Leg warmers, a ballet sweater, or a fitted wrap top can be worn.

    • Hair – Hair should be secured in a bun or neatly tied back to keep it out of the face.

  • Clothing - Adults males may wear comfortable T-shirt with flexible pants or shorts while taking Pilates, ballet or jazz class.

    • Fitted Shirt or Leotard – A form-fitting t-shirt or a ballet-specific leotard.

    • Tights or Dance Pants – Black or dark-colored tights, or form-fitting dance pants.

    • Dance Belt – Essential for support and comfort.

    • Ballet Slippers – Black, white, or flesh-toned, depending on preference.

    • Please remove your street shoes before entering the studio.

    • Avoid baggy clothing, as it can obscure movement and alignment.

    • Jewelry should be minimal for safety.
